Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine receives new head Skyba

Chairman of the Board of the Naftogaz of Ukraine Serhii Koretskyi during a meeting with the teams of the company's branches on Friday, June 6, introduced the new head of Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine Serhii Skyba.

This is indicated in a statement by the Naftogaz of Ukraine, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The statement says that Serhii Skyba is a manager with 20 years of experience.

In 2019-2020, he headed the Ukrburgas branch of UkrGasVydobuvannya JSC, and since 2023 he has been the director of the Zhytomyr branch of the Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine LLC.

He headed the direction of construction of power plants at Ukrnafta PJSC and was involved in the development of the Kremenchuk CHPP.

Among the main priorities of the newly appointed head of Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine are technical re-equipment of networks, increasing the reliability of gas supply, building trust in the company through transparent processes and real changes, attention to social issues, support for the military and their families, and development of veteran programs.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in mid-May, the independent supervisory board of PJSC Ukrnafta elected Yurii Tkachuk, the financial director, as the person who will temporarily perform the duties of the company's director.

In September 2022, the subsidiary company Gas of Ukraine of the national joint-stock company Naftogaz of Ukraine created the limited liability company Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine.

It was planned to create a national gas distribution system operator on the basis of the company.
