Trump spreads conspiracy theory that Biden was "executed" in 2020 and replaced by clones
US President Donald Trump has spread a conspiracy theory to his followers on social media that former President Joe Biden was allegedly executed in 2020 and replaced by clones or robots.

So, on Saturday evening, Trump reposted the above-mentioned claim on Truth Social. The original post, published by an anonymous social media user who often spreads strange claims, suggested that Biden was replaced by "clones, doppelgangers" and "robotic mindless beings".
The US President posted a link to this post to his nearly 10 million followers without adding any context or explanation, while the original post has just over 5,000 followers.
It is noted that Trump has frequently spread misinformation and unproven conspiracy theories over the years. He has repeated false claims that he won the 2020 presidential election, which prompted some of his supporters to storm the Capitol on January 6, 2021, in an attempt to overturn Biden's victory.
He has also claimed that former President Barack Obama was not born in the US, and during the 2024 campaign, he said that Haitian immigrants "eat pets."
It is noted that all of these claims have been refuted or otherwise proven false.
At the same time, conspiracy theories have also been spread within Trump’s inner circle, and some senior administration officials have spread disinformation about vaccines or the so-called “deep state.”
Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has repeated the debunked claim that the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine causes autism, and the director and deputy director of the FBI have spread the claim that the Biden administration and the “deep state” have used the FBI as a weapon against Trump.
Meanwhile, Trump has stepped up his attacks on Biden in recent weeks. In particular, Trump and House Republicans have previously scrutinized Biden's use of a fountain pen to sign some legislation and executive orders, using it to cast doubt on his mental state. Trump has even said that some pardons signed by Biden are not valid because they were not signed with a real pen. The White House has used fountain pens to create signatures for decades.
