RF attacks railway in Chernivtsi Region, infrastructure damaged - Ukrzaliznytsia

On the night of May 23, russian troops attacked the railway in the Chernivtsi Region, the strike damaged the railway infrastructure. This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.

It is noted that the railway infrastructure in the Chernivtsi Region was damaged as a result of the shelling. There were no victims or injuries among employees or passengers.

Ukrzaliznytsia trains continue to operate on established routes.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the morning of Friday, May 23, explosions were recorded in the Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk Regions that occurred during an air alert, which sounded against the background of an attack by enemy Shahed drones.

On the morning of May 23, 2025, russian drones attacked Prykarpattia. Air defense units were operating in the region. Buildings and transport were damaged in the Kolomyia district.

Earlier, the russian federation also carried out a drone attack on Ukraine, explosions were heard in Ivano-Frankivsk and Lutsk.

Also in Kyiv on the morning of May 22, loud explosions were heard from the work of air defense forces, several enemy unmanned aerial vehicles were recorded over the city.
