On Novopavlivka axis, russians are rushing towards Dnipropetrovsk Region: 25-30 assaults every day - AFU Southern Defense Forces

The russian occupation army does not abandon active attempts to reach the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk Region on the Novopavlivka axis.

Colonel Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, has reported this on the air of Suspilne. Novyny.

"On the Novopavlivka axis, the enemy has been trying to advance towards the Dnipropetrovsk Region for several months, because here, in this area, there is a point where three administrative borders of three regions converge - Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia. Therefore, the enemy seeks to enter the Dnipropetrovsk Region and for this purpose is conducting massive assault operations, assault operations by small groups of infantry," said an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Having tried to storm with significant forces two weeks ago – units up to a battalion – the occupiers suffered significant losses and have recently focused on smaller-scale assault operations.

"The enemy continues assault operations with small groups of infantry, the number of such assaults is quite high. About 25-30 assaults per day in several small directions to Zelene Pole, Novopil, Vilne Pole. It is in these directions that the enemy is trying to break through our defense line, seize our positions and advance further," Voloshyn said.

The occupiers are storming mainly using light equipment – buggies, motorcycles and quadricycles. The russians are also carrying out air strikes and actively using UAVs.

"The enemy is carrying out air strikes and has increased the number of these air strikes over the past 24 hours using guided bombs and unguided missiles. In addition, the enemy is carrying out a fairly high number of kamikaze drone strikes on both our positions and civilians living near the front," Vladyslav Voloshyn reported.

The spokesman stressed that the assault actions of the occupiers on the Novopavlivka axis remain one of the most intense along the entire line of combat contact.
