Trump says he will meet with putin "as soon as we can set it up"

US President Donald Trump has said he will meet with russian leader vladimir putin "as soon as we can set it up".

He told this to reporters, Sky News reports.

Thus, despite calls to join the Ukrainian-russian peace talks in Turkey, Trump confirmed to reporters in Abu Dhabi that he is returning to the US.

He also said he will meet with vladimir putin "as soon as we can set it up".

"I think it's time for us to just do it. I said if I don't go, I guarantee Putin's not going... we're going to get it done, we've got to get it done ", he said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio earlier said that the United States would make a decision on a possible meeting between putin and Trump after the talks on Ukraine in Istanbul.

Negotiations between delegations from Ukraine, the United States of America (US), and Turkey began on May 16 in Istanbul.
