SBI refuses to answer whether it sees signs of fictitious divorce in Maryna Poroshenko's lawsuit for division of property
The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) refused to answer whether there are signs of a fictitious divorce in Maryna Poroshenko's lawsuit against Petro Poroshenko for division of property.
This is stated in the SBI's response to a request from the Ukrainian News Agency.
The publication requested information whether possible signs of a fictitious divorce are being checked due to Poroshenko's wife filing a lawsuit for division of property. The SBI noted in its response that there are no grounds for satisfying the request.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Maryna Poroshenko did not provide the court with a number of evidence regarding the acquisition of the disputed property, its value, which she wants to sue Petro Poroshenko for. Neither Maryna Poroshenko nor Petro Poroshenko came to court regarding the division of property. The court told what property the Poroshenkos want to divide. The European Solidarity party stated that Maryna Poroshenko's lawsuit for the division of property is aimed at overcoming the restrictions imposed against Petro Poroshenko within the framework of the sanctions decree. Maryna Poroshenko appealed to the court on March 27, 2025. The lawsuit concerns the division of marital property. The case is pending before the Kryzhopilskyi District Court of the Vinnytsia Region, where the lawsuit was filed.
