Zelenskyy promises that military command will strengthen protection of sky over Odesa

The Ukrainian command plans to strengthen air defense and the protection of the sky over Odesa from russian attacks, as the city was previously better protected. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during a joint briefing with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Odesa.

The head of state stated that the Ukrainian military command will strengthen the protection of Odesa.

"As for air defense, I will say frankly, Odesa was better protected than recently. It was better. We will not go into details. But what was, will return," the President emphasized.

At the same time, the Ukrainian leader did not specify which air defense systems could strengthen the protection of Odesa.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte visited one of the medical facilities in Odesa, where Ukrainian defenders are recovering from injuries.

Previously, Rutte justified the statements of the US administration of Donald Trump about the impossibility of Ukraine joining NATO and assured that there are no changes, because Ukraine was never promised that NATO membership would be part of a peace agreement or ceasefire.
