Zelenskyy promises "strong" response to death of Ukrainian F-16 pilot Pavlo Ivanov

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the death of Ukrainian F-16 pilot Pavlo Ivanov. The head of state promised a "strong" response.

Zelenskyy noted this in his post on the Telegram social network.

"Today, in combat on an F-16, unfortunately, Captain Pavlo Ivanov was killed. He was 26. My condolences to the family, to all of Pavlo's brothers in arms," the President noted in his publication.

Zelenskyy stressed that he had heard reports from the military regarding this combat situation. The circumstances of the death of pilot Pavlo Ivanov are being investigated.

"Ukrainian F-16s, Mirages, MiGs, all our combat aircraft heroically perform military missions, defending our state and supporting ground operations. The Air Force is also involved in protecting Ukraine from russian missiles and drones. We are proud of our soldiers. We will respond strongly and accurately," the President added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on Saturday, April 12, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that 26-year-old Ukrainian pilot Pavlo Ivanov was killed while performing a combat mission. He was a pilot on an F-16 fighter jet.
