Missiles for air defense and aviation, as well as tanks: France to provide Ukraine with EUR 2 billion military aid package

French President Emmanuel Macron announced that his country will provide Ukraine with a military aid package worth EUR 2 billion. It will include armored vehicles, air defense systems and ammunition of various types.

Macron said this at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, his words are quoted by RBC-Ukraine.

According to him, the military aid package to Ukraine from France meets the priority needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to Macron, France will also finance the production of equipment in Ukraine in cooperation with French defense companies.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in mid-March, the Italian publication Corriere della Sera wrote, citing sources, that Ukraine had asked France and Italy to urgently provide Aster-30 missiles, which are used in SAMP/T air defense systems.

And on March 13, Reuters reported, citing its sources, that the United States was preparing to resume supplies of GLSDB aerial bombs, which are used by Ukrainian aviation to carry out precision strikes on russian army targets.
