The German p8ublication Bild reported this on Wednesday, March 19.

Before the last election, Baerbock participated in the Greens' election campaign "with great enthusiasm." According to the publication, at that moment she was discussing her career prospects with colleagues in the event of the party's defeat in the elections. The post of President of the UN General Assembly probably caught her attention when it became clear that the Greens were defeated.

The publication claims that after the elections, Baerbock turned to the likely candidate for the post of Chancellor Friedrich Merz in order to enlist his support.

It is noted that the post of President of the UN General Assembly can be held for one year. The work consists of leading meetings and performing representative functions.

In late spring, Baerbock will have to present her work program at the UN headquarters (New York, USA). She will start work in September this year.
