US to "have contact" with russia today - Rubio

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US "will have contact with the russians" today, March 12. He also said that talks with Ukraine in Saudi Arabia included "talks about territorial concessions".

He said that the US hopes for a positive response from russia and "strongly urges the russians to cease all hostilities".

"There is no military solution to this conflict", he said.

In addition, Rubio confirmed that the talks on Tuesday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, were about "what the negotiation process will look like" and included "talks about territorial concessions".

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine has expressed its readiness to accept the US proposal to immediately introduce a temporary, 30-day ceasefire, which can be extended by mutual consent of the parties and upon acceptance and implementation by the russian side.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine accepts the US proposal to establish a complete ceasefire, not only regarding missiles, drones and bombs, not only in the Black Sea, but also along the entire front line.

The Office of the President also emphasized that following the negotiations in Saudi Arabia, the US decided to resume intelligence sharing and military assistance to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his American counterpart Donald Trump want to conclude an agreement on the development of Ukraine's critical mineral resources as soon as possible.
