Ukraine and IMF reach agreement on seventh review of EFF program
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have reached an agreement at the staff level on the review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program.
Shmyhal reported this on his official Telegram channel on Friday, February 28.
"Ukraine and the IMF have reached an agreement at the staff level on the seventh review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program," the head of government wrote.
According to him, the total volume of the program is about USD 15.5 billion.
Ukraine will be able to receive the next tranche after the review is approved by the IMF Executive Board.
Shmyhal thanked the teams of the Ukrainian government and the National Bank of Ukraine for their thorough work, as well as the IMF for its stable partnership and support for the country.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 20, the International Monetary Fund announced the start of work with Ukraine on the seventh review of the EFF program.
Recall, on February 18, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine reported that in 2025, Ukraine plans to attract USD 2.7 billion from the IMF based on the results of four quarterly reviews.
