Russian marines drowned while attempting to land on one of islands in Kherson Region - partisans
Servicemen of the 61st Marine Brigade of the russian army drowned in the Dnieper River as a result of an unsuccessful attempt to cross the river and land on one of the islands in the Kherson Region.
This was reported by partisans from the Atesh movement.
An Atesh agent, who was introduced into the 61st brigade of the occupiers, said that the day before, russian marines attempted to land on the island of Bilohrudyi in the Dnieper Delta.
During the attempt to land on the island, a Ukrainian military drone "worked" at the occupiers. As a result of the strike, two russians fell from a jet ski. They could not get out of the water and drowned.
Atesh noted that such cases are not uncommon for the occupiers. The reason lies in the lack of appropriate training and difficult terrain.
The partisans claim that the brigade's servicemen are being sent to storm the islands in the Dnieper Delta as punishment. This negatively affects the morale of the soldiers.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 4, the spokesman for the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine Vladyslav Voloshyn said that the occupiers are trying to seize the islands located in the Dnieper Delta.
And the day before, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, told the Financial Times in an interview that the russians have gathered about 300 boats on the left bank of the Kherson Region. According to him, the occupiers are probably preparing to cross the Dnieper.
In early December, the RBC-Ukraine agency reported, citing its own sources, that russian troops are considering the possibility of crossing the Dnieper in order to attack Kherson.
