Cabinet dismisses Deputy Defense Minister Dzhyhyr

The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Yurii Dzhyhyr, Deputy Minister of Defense.

The government announced this in a statement in the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"At its meeting on November 5, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted an order on the dismissal of ... Dzhyhyr Yurii Anatoliyovych from the post of Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine," the message reads.

Dzhyhyr has been the Deputy Minister of Defense for Finance since September 2023, in 2018-2020 he was the Deputy Minister of Finance.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, at the end of September, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced on Facebook that he had sent a petition to the Cabinet of Ministers to dismiss Deputy Defense Minister Stanislav Haider (he is moving to the position of head of the Minister's Office), Oleksandr Serhiy, Yurii Dzhyhyr, and State Secretary Liudmyla Darahan.

On October 1, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Deputy Minister of Defense Haider and State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense Darahan.

On October 11, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Oleksandr Balanutsa, Deputy Minister of Defense, and he will continue his diplomatic career.

On October 11, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Serhii Boyev, who previously worked as the Deputy Minister of Strategic Industries for European Integration, as the Deputy Minister of Defense for European Integration.

Also, on October 11, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Serhii Melnyk, Kharkiv defense head and head of the Military Legal Institute, as Deputy Minister of Defense.
