Ukraine receives CAD 400 million in preferential financing from Canada
On October 17, the state budget of Ukraine received a tranche from the Government of Canada in the amount of CAD 400 million (almost USD 300 million).
This is stated in the notification of the Ministry of Finance, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Thus, since the beginning of the full-scale war, direct budget support from Canada reaches USD 5.4 billion.
The funds are provided on preferential terms: the term is 10 years, the interest rate is 1.5% per annum.
The grace period is 4.5 years from the date of receipt of funds.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 11, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko signed the Fourth Additional Agreement with the Government of Canada on raising a loan in the amount of CAD 400 million.
On October 2, Minister of Finance Serhii Marchenko signed a loan agreement with the Export-Import Bank of Korea to attract USD 100 million.
