Harris says she would not meet with putin to negotiate war without Ukraine

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris said she would not meet with russian leader vladimir putin bilaterally to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine.

This is reported by CNN.

"Ukraine should have the right to vote on the future of Ukraine," she said.

Harris said that "there will be no success in ending the war without the participation of Ukraine and the UN Charter in what that success looks like."

At the same time, she avoided answering the question of whether she would support efforts to expand the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) at the expense of Ukraine, saying that she "will decide if and when it comes to that."

"These are all issues that we will resolve if and when it comes to that. Now we support Ukraine's ability to defend itself against unprovoked russian aggression," Harris said.

She also said that if Trump were president, "putin would be sitting in Kyiv right now."

"He's saying he can end it on day one. You know what that means? It means surrender," Harris said.
