Zelenskyy meets with President of Türkiye Erdogan. President's Office reports details of conversation
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. This is stated in the message of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
As reported, the country's leaders paid special attention to the activation of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as the involvement of Türkiye and Turkish companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
The presidents also discussed in detail the implementation of the Peace Formula, emphasizing the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation in the Black Sea and the leading role of Türkiye in the implementation of the relevant clause of the Formula regarding food security.
Also, during the meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited Recep Erdogan to visit Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, before the UN General Assembly in New York, Erdogan said that Türkiye will strengthen diplomatic efforts and dialogue to end the war in Ukraine on the basis of the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
On September 11, Erdogan stated that the return of Crimea to Ukraine complies with international legal standards.
On March 9, Erdogan again proposed holding a russian-Ukrainian summit.
On February 28, Erdogan offered to hold peace talks between the aggressor country of russia and Ukraine in Türkiye.
