Cabinet dismisses Deputy Energy Minister Kheilo, who was detained for bribing

The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Oleksandr Kheilo from the post of Deputy Minister of Energy.

This is stated in the message of the government, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Kheilo has held the position of Deputy Minister of Energy since September 2023, previously he worked as a director of Ukrvuhillia state enterprise.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Deputy Minister of Energy Oleksandr Kheilo was exposed "red handed" for receiving a bribe of USD 500,000 for the transfer of valuable coal mining equipment from the frontline territory to an enterprise in western Ukraine.
