AFU destroy 1,100 invaders, 11 units of armored vehicles and 42 artillery systems. General Staff names russia’s losses over day

During the last day from August 1 to 2, the aggressor country of russia lost 1,100 invaders and 42 artillery systems in the war in Ukraine. In total, the losses of the russian army amount to 580,590 people.

This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to August 02, 2024 approximately amounted to:

• personnel - about 580,590 (+1,100) persons were eliminated;
• tanks - 8,402 (+3) units;
• armored fighting vehicles - 16,211 (+8) units;
• artillery systems - 16,161 (+42) units;
• MLRS - 1,134 (+2) units;
• air defense equipment - 907 units;
• aircraft - 363 units;
• helicopters - 326 units;
• UAVs of the operational-tactical level - 13,005 (+37) units;
• cruise missiles - 2,407 units;
• ships/boats - 28 units;
• submarines - 1 unit;
• automotive equipment and tank trucks - 21,872 (+56) units;
• special equipment - 2,719 (+6) units.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the losses of personnel of the russian troops on July 31 increased by 1,370 to 579,490 people, Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 9 tanks, 42 armored fighting vehicles, 33 artillery systems and 115 drones.
