Russians complain that AFU manage to shoot down helicopter with help of drone. It happened near Donetsk
Russian military bloggers are complaining en masse that the Ukrainian military managed to shoot down the Mi-8 helicopter with the help of an unmanned aerial vehicle. It happened the day before near occupied Donetsk.
This is evidenced by the messages of the occupiers on social networks.
Bloggers Helicopterpilot and Fighterbomber, which review military aviation, reported an incident with a Mi-8 helicopter in the Donetsk Region.
The Voevoda Veshchaet channel, which is allegedly run by pilots of the russian armed forces, also confirmed the information about the loss of the helicopter.
"Yesterday, they wrote about the enemy's attempts to use drones against our army aviation. Unfortunately, they succeeded today," the message reads.
According to the channel, this helicopter belonged to the russian Guard. At the moment of impact, it took off with wounded occupiers on board.
The author of the post is surprised by what happened, because now the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are quite far from Donetsk.
The channel later stated that the helicopter was not struck by a drone, but by a missile fired from an M142 HIMARS surface-to-air missile.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine have not yet commented on this information.
There is still no official confirmation of the destruction of the occupiers' helicopter.
The adviser to the Ukrainian mayor of occupied Mariupol, Petro Andriushchenko, published a photo, which, according to him, shows the wreckage of a probably downed Mi-8 helicopter.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 25, a Mi-28 combat helicopter of the russian armed forces crashed in the Kaluga Oblast. It is known that the crew of the aircraft did not survive.
