Defense Ministry reports in which countries abroad Ukrainians most actively updated their military registration data
About 65,000 Ukrainians living abroad have updated their military registration data since the law on mobilization came into effect on May 18. The spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, Dmytro Lazutkin, said this on the air of the telethon.
"We really have the following indicators: 65,000 Ukrainians abroad have updated their data within 60 days. Among the leaders are Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic and Canada. And in general, people around the world very actively did this exactly with the help of the Reserve+ application," he said he.
Lazutkin also added that there are many Ukrainians abroad who really want to join the Armed Forces, but did not give details.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Serhii Ionushas, a member of the Verkhovna Rada, head of the Verkhovna Rada's law enforcement committee, said that a person can be fined separately for each violation of military registration rules.
Territorial recruitment and social support centers will issue fines in absentia for violations of mobilization legislation.
Recall, from now on, citizens will be able to update their military registration data only in territorial recruitment and social support centers and the Reserve+ application. From July 17, administrative services centers will no longer update military registration data.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, non-payment of a fine imposed by a resolution territorial recruitment and social support center for the evasion from military registration may result in seizure of funds from the debtor's accounts, subsequent debiting of funds from these accounts, as well as seizure of property for the purpose of its further sale.
Also, from 12 a.m. on July 17, border guards check the presence of a military registration document of all Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 when leaving Ukraine.
