Defense Ministry: 5 Battalions Of Ukrainian Army Trained By NATO Instructors

The Defense Ministry of Ukraine says five battalions of the Ukrainian army have been trained by instructors of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Deputy Defense Minister Ihor Dolhov announced this at a news briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Other achievements of the reforms in the Ukrainian army, according to the deputy minister, include creation of the Special Operation Forces, a training center of the Special Operation Forces, the growth in the strength of the Armed Forces to 250,000 men, training of 2,500 instructors of tactical medicine, a system of provision of the army in the zone of the antiterrorist operation.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the tender commission for selecting senior civil service officials has elected Oleksandr Dublian the state secretary at the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.
