Air Force explains why russia intensified attacks on energy in spring

The aggressor country of the russian federation is trying to attack the Ukrainian critical infrastructure, thermal power plants, hydroelectric power stations and various storage facilities as much as possible. The occupiers resorted to such attacks not in the winter, as expected, but in the spring. Their goal is to destabilize the socio-political situation inside our country.

The speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Illia Yevlash announced this on the air of the telethon.

"We all expected this attack. Multiple media wrote that these attacks would be either in the fall, in order to make blackouts for our citizens in the winter, to leave them without heat. Now the enemy is using this tactic in the spring. The enemy's goal remains unchanged - the destabilization of the socio-political situation inside our country and the disabling of our critical infrastructure systems," the representative of the Air Force stressed.

In addition, with such massive and combined strikes, the russians are trying to deplete air defense systems and identify where the missiles are launched from. Yevlash emphasizes that "this is all comprehensively worked out by the enemy."

Recall that on the night of March 29, the enemy launched a powerful missile and aviation strike on objects of the fuel and energy sector of Ukraine, using various types of missiles and attack UAVs. Sky defenders neutralized 84 out of 99 air targets.
