It is critically important to start process of Ukraine joining NATO - Klitschko at Munich Security Conference

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko at all meetings and events at the Munich Security Conference will talk about the critical importance of starting the process of Ukraine joining NATO.

Klitschko announced this on his Telegram channel.

"Key: the new architecture of European security is impossible today without Ukraine. And our partners understand that. But I am convinced that they should act more decisively and actively in this situation. And I will emphasize at all meetings in Munich that it is critically important to start the process of Ukraine's accession to NATO. Put it on stable "rails." This will be a powerful signal for Ukrainian society and a warning for Putin," Vitali Klitschko said.

He also noted that further assistance to Ukraine is being discussed at the CSU Transatlantic Forum, which takes place on the first day of the conference.

"I am participating in the CSU Transatlantic Forum, which is happening now. Further assistance to Ukraine and the necessary efforts of the EU and the United States are discussed with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Bavarian Minister-President Markus Soder, President of the International Republican Institute (IRI) Dan Sullivan," Klitschko said.

Earlier it was reported that the mayor of Kyiv, the head of the Association of Cities of Ukraine Vitali Klitschko will take part in the jubilee 60th Munich Security Conference, which will be held from February 16 to 18. Klitschko is to meet with a delegation of U.S. senators, CSU Chairman in the Bundestag Alexander Dobrindt, European Budget Commissioner Johannes Hahn and other politicians who support Ukraine and influence the expansion of military and economic assistance. Klitschko will also speak at a panel organized by the McCain Institute and dedicated to Ukraine.
