Polish farmers will block Zosyn-Ustyluh checkpoint from February 12

On February 12, Polish farmers will block the movement of trucks through the Zosyn-Ustyluh checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Polish border.

This was announced by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"According to preliminary information from the Polish side, the strike of local farmers will also extend to the Zosyn-Ustyluh checkpoint on the Polish side of the border. On Monday, February 12, a partial blocking of traffic is expected," the message reads.

According to the message, for passenger vehicles and buses, the checkpoint must remain free, the strikers plan to pass trucks weighing up to 7.5 tons by three cars per hour in each direction.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Polish farmers will block the Dorohusk-Yahodyn checkpoint from February 9.

Polish farmers have announced a new strike starting on February 9, during which they plan to block all checkpoints on the border with Ukraine for a month.

Polish farmers were outraged by the decision of the European Commission of January 31, which proposed to extend the abolition of customs duties for Ukrainian goods for another year.
