AFU destroy another 1,070 occupiers, 10 tanks and 25 armored vehicles. General Staff reports losses of russian troops per day
Over the past day, January 28, the Ukrainian military successfully destroyed another 1,070 of the russian troops. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, russia has lost about 383,180 people.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The total combat losses of the enemy from 02/24/22 to 01/29/24 were approximately:
- personnel - about 383,180 (+ 1,070) people eliminated;
- tanks - 6,290 (+ 10) units;
- armored fighting vehicles - 11,696 (+ 25) units;
- artillery systems - 9,113 (+ 16) units;
- MLRS - 972 (+ 0) units;
- air defense equipment - 660 (+ 0) units;
- aircraft - 331 (+ 0) units;
- helicopters - 324 (+ 0) units;
- operational-tactical level UAVs - 7,049 (+ 8) units;
- cruise missiles - 1,846 (+ 1) units;
- ships/boats - 23 (+ 0) units;
- submarines - 1 (+ 0) units;
- motor vehicles and tank trucks - 12,149 (+ 46) units;
- special equipment - 1,443 (+ 7) units.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, according to the British Ministry of Defence, russian ground forces lost approximately 2,600 main battle tanks and 4,900 other armored vehicles from the beginning of the war to January 25, 2024.
And according to official data of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of January 28, the russian federation lost 6,280 tanks and 11,671 armored fighting vehicles.
