Sale of pre-owned imported passenger cars down 45% to 214,400 units in 2023

In 2023, pre-owned imported passenger cars' sales decreased by 45% year over year to 214,400 units.

This follows from a statement by the Ukravtoprom association, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Gasoline cars took the largest share in this segment of the car market - 45%.

Diesel cars occupy 33% of this segment of the car market, electric cars - 14%

Volkswagen Golf was the most popular pre-owned passenger car in 2023 - 16,123 registrations.

Renault Megane was in the second place (14,392 units), Skoda Octavia - in the third place (10,261 units), Volkswagen Passat - in the fourth place (8,543 units), and Nissan Leaf closed the top five (5,190 units).

It is noted that the average age of pre-owned cars that were transferred to Ukrainian license plates in 2023 is 10 years.

As the Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2022, the sale of pre-owned imported passenger cars decreased by 25% year over year to 388,500 units.
