Total state debt in November breaks historical record and increased by 3.3% to USD 140.8 billion
The aggregate state (direct and guaranteed) debt of Ukraine in November compared to the previous month increased by 3.3%, or by USD 4.48 billion, to a record-breaking USD 140.82 billion.
This is stated in the data of the Ministry of Finance, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
State and state-guaranteed debt at the end of November amounted to UAH 5,122.49 billion, or USD 140.82 billion, against UAH 4,958.37 billion, or USD 136.35 billion, a month earlier.
The total amount of direct state debt as of the reporting date was UAH 4,799.47 billion (USD 131.94 billion) against UAH 4,638.27 billion (USD 127.54 billion) a month earlier.
At the same time, the direct external debt increased from USD 85.88 billion to USD 89.58 billion for the month.
Direct domestic debt increased in hryvnia equivalent from UAH 1,515.35 billion to UAH 1,540.97 billion (in dollar terms it increased from USD 41.67 billion to USD 42.36 billion).
The state-guaranteed debt at the end of the reporting month amounted to UAH 323.02 billion, or USD 8.88 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2022, the total state debt increased by USD 13.39 billion, or by 13.66%, to USD 111.34 billion.
In 2021, the state debt increased by 8.52%, or by USD 7.69 billion, to USD 97.95 billion.
In 2020, the total state debt increased by 6.9%, from USD 84.4 billion to USD 90.3 billion.
