DTEK Energy adds one more TPP power unit to power system after repair

The DTEK Energy company added an 80 MW thermal power unit to the power system after planned repairs.

This is stated in the company's message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Since the beginning of the year, the power industry has already repaired 17 of the 19 power units planned before the start of the heating season. Thus, 90% of the planned repair campaign for the start of the heating season has already been implemented. According to the schedule, 2 more power units are planned to be added to the power system in the coming days. In general, as part of the repair campaign, by the end of this year, DTEK Energy plans to repair 27 power units for reliable operation during the autumn-winter period," the message says.

According to the report, the company's investments in planned repairs in January-September amounted to UAH 2.8 billion, and by the end of 2023, it is planned to increase them to UAH 3.9 billion.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, DTEK Energy plans to import about 210,000 tons of coal from Poland for more reliable heat generation during the autumn-winter period.

The DTEK Energy company is a structure of the DTEK holding, which combines coal business, electricity generation, as well as mining engineering enterprises.

DTEK manages the energy assets of System Capital Management.
