AFU destroy 480 occupiers, 24 drones and 17 artillery systems. General Staff reports enemy losses per day
Russian losses in the war in Ukraine on Thursday morning, August 17, amounted to 480 of the invaders, the total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 256,050 of the military. Besides, the Armed Forces destroyed 17 artillery systems and 18 enemy AFVs.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
The total combat losses of the enemy from 02/24/22 to 08/17/23 were approximately:
- personnel - about 256,050 (+ 480) people eliminated;
- tanks - 4,329 (+ 5) units;
- armored fighting vehicles - 8,398 (+ 18) units;
- artillery systems - 5,169 (+ 17) units;
- MLRS - 714 units;
- air defense equipment - 486 (+ 1) units;
- aircraft - 315 units;
- helicopters - 314 units;
- operational-tactical level UAVs - 4,272 (+ 24);
- cruise missiles - 1,406 (+ 2) units;
- ships/boats - 18 units;
- automotive equipment and tank trucks - 7,641 (+ 27) units;
- special equipment - 773 units.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the defenders of Ukraine destroyed another Ка-52 attack helicopter of the Russian occupation army in the morning. Another enemy "bird" got landed on the Bakhmut axis. Also on the morning of August 17, the second enemy Ка-52 helicopter was shot down in the Zaporizhzhia Region.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed three more Russian boats in the Dnieper Delta.
