Occupiers forcibly taking Ukrainian pensioners from occupied Kherson Region to Russia - General Staff

Russian occupiers are forcibly deporting Ukrainian pensioners from the occupied Kherson Region to Russia.

This was reported in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The Russian occupiers continue to use the practice of artificial resettlement and forced assimilation of Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

"In the Henichesk district of the Kherson Region, the occupiers began the forced eviction to Russia of Ukrainian citizens who have not yet received or refused to receive Russian citizenship, including families with children and the elderly," the General Staff reports.

In their places of residence, the occupiers settle, usually, representatives of national minorities from impoverished regions of the Russian Federation.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in the temporarily occupied Hornostayivka of the Kherson Region, the Russian occupiers are taking housing from locals who left for the territory controlled by Ukraine or were killed as a result of the war.

In Oleshky, the occupiers are taking humanitarian aid from the victims of the HEPP explosion.
