Ukrainian Exchange Trading Volume Down 32.1% To UAH 0.854 Billion In April
In April, the trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange decreased by 32.1% to UAH 0.854 billion over February.
The exchange has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that the total volume of trading on the Ukrainian Exchange in April was UAH 853,982,591.19, and the total number of transactions was 11,175.
In the trading structure for April 2023, government bonds (OVDPs) accounted for 97.04% of the total turnover, or UAH 828,716,471.68; shares - 0.21%, or UAH 18,099,613.48; investment certificates - 0.01%, or UAH 826,659.19; foreign securities - 0.74%, or UAH 6,339,846.84.
It is noted that in April, the index of Ukrainian shares (UX index) decreased by 25% from 2,138.56 to 1,604.65 points.
The leaders in the share securities market in April were: Kyivmedpreparat JSC (UAH 16.176 million), MHP SE (UAH 1.209 million), and Yuzkoks PrJSC (UAH 0.872 million),
The leaders of circulation on the debt securities market in April were:
- 204150 government bonds, repayment February 26, 2025 (UAH 165.2 million);
- 225775 government bonds, repayment April 27, 2023 (UAH 160.6 million);
- 213227 government bonds, repayment November 1, 2023 (UAH 88.2 million).
The leading operators of the stock and fund certificate market in April were Navigator-Invest, Univer Capital, and Spike-Invest.
The leading operators of the bond market in April were Sense Bank, Dragon Capital, and Kinto Ltd.
In turn, the leading operators of the foreign securities market in April were Univer Capital, Navigator-Invest, and Sense Bank.
Ukrainian Exchange is a liquidity center for stocks and derivatives in Ukraine.
The index of Ukrainian shares is calculated from the start of trading on the Ukrainian Exchange on March 26, 2009.
The initial value was taken equal to 500 points.
Today, the Index Basket includes 6 of the most liquid shares.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in March, the trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange decreased by 60.9% to UAH 1.258 billion over February.
