Ukrainian Exchange Trading Volume Down 16.9% To UAH 1.258 Billion In March
In March, the trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange decreased by 60.9% to UAH 1.258 billion over February.
The exchange has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that the total volume of trading on the Ukrainian Exchange in March was UAH 1,257,897,183.70, and the total number of transactions was 10,672.
In the trading structure for March 2023, government bonds (OVDPs) accounted for 98.29% of the total turnover, or UAH 1,236,436,965.48; shares - 0.22%, or UAH 2,803,722.53; investment certificates - 0.01%, or UAH 33,122.87; foreign securities - 1.48%, or UAH 18,623,372.82.
It is noted that in March, the index of Ukrainian shares (UX index) increased by 70.17% from 1,256.72 to 2,138.56 points.
The leaders in the share securities market in March were: PrJSC Yuzkoks (UAH 1.086 million), Astarta Holding N.V. JSC (UAH 1.059 million), and Raiffeisen Bank Aval JSC (UAH 0.969 million).
The leaders of circulation on the debt securities market in March were:
- 204150 government bonds, repayment February 26, 2025 (UAH 357.5 million);
- 201255 government bonds, repayment May 24, 2023 (UAH 308.6 million);
- 218531 government bonds, repayment May 13, 2026 (UAH 232.4 million).
The leading operators of the stock and fund certificate market in March were Spike-Invest, Kinto Ltd, and Dragon Capital.
The leading operators of the bond market in March were Dragon Capital, Investment Capital Ukraine, and Sky Bank.
In turn, the leading operators of the foreign securities market in March were Sokrat FC, Kinto Ltd, and Dragon Capital.
Ukrainian Exchange is a liquidity center for stocks and derivatives in Ukraine.
The index of Ukrainian shares is calculated from the start of trading on the Ukrainian Exchange on March 26, 2009.
The initial value was taken equal to 500 points.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in February, the trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange increased by 60.2% to UAH 1.513 billion over January.
