Ukraine Receives EUR 44.5 Million Tranche From IBRD
Ukraine has received from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) another tranche of EUR 44.5 million under the Loan Agreement Additional Loan for the Second Economic Recovery Development Policy Loan.
The Ministry of Finance has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"We are grateful to the state of Sweden, as well as to our other European partners for the significant financial support we receive, in particular through the tools of the World Bank. It is extremely important in wartime. Such assistance will allow Ukraine to increase funding for social and humanitarian areas and will ensure the macro-financial balance of our state," said Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko.
Under the Agreement, this loan from the IBRD is provided for budget support to ensure priority social expenditures, as well as health expenditures.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine received EUR 120 million in grant assistance from the EU.
