Omelian Ready To Provide NACB With Evidence Of His Innocence

Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelian is ready to provide evidence to the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine (NACB) that he is not guilty of illegal enrichment.

Maryna Tomko, press secretary for Minister Omelian, wrote this on her Facebook page, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"He (Omelian) is ready to answer all questions of the NACB detectives and to provide all documents to prove there were no violations from his side," she wrote.

She writes that the minister is open for cooperation with law enforcement agencies, including the Prosecutor General's Office, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the NACB.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the NACB has launched investigation against Infrastructure Minister Omelian on suspicion of illegal enrichment.

The NACB opened the criminal case on incorrect information in the declaration and illegal enrichment on May 26.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Volodymyr Omelian the infrastructure minister on April 14, 2016.
