Naftogaz Posts Profit Of UAH 22.5 Billion For 2016

The Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company has reported net profit of UAH 22.532 billion for 2016 over UAH 35.062 billion of loss for 2015.

The group said this on Friday taking into account the GRI standards, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In compliance with the report, the income from sales in 2016 rose by 48% or UAH 62.497 billion to UAH 192.764 billion.

The pre-tax profit increased 8.4 times or by UAH 62.503 billion to UAH 70.96 billion.

The company received major part of its profit from transportation and distribution of gas (over UAH 26 billion).

Besides, profitable were the segments of gas production (UAH 15.3 billion), oil refining (UAH 1.7 billion) and crude transportation (UAH 1.6 billion).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allowed the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company to attract two loans worth the total of UAH 3.5 billion from Kyiv-based Ukrgasbank.
