Infrastructure Ministry Plans Start Construction Of Lviv - Kherson Motorway In 2017

The Ministry of Infrastructure plans to start a construction of the first-class road from Lviv to Kherson in 2017.

Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian said this at 5 Kanal on September 5, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

ЂThis year we have to conduct tender procedures and next year to proceed to the construction of a big European main road connecting Lviv and Kherson,ї he said.

This solution will settle the situation in which Ukraine landed after the cessation of transit from Russia.

This year, major and pothole repairs have been conducted on 1,000-2,000km of roads all over Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers in June redistributed UAH 1.5 billion from the budget programme for 2016 servicing State Motor Roads Agency Ukravtodor loans for the programme for development and maintenance of public roads.
