Banks reduce network by 61 branches to 4,800 branches in 6M
Banks reduced the network by 61 branches to 4,754 branches in 6 months of the current year.
This is evidenced by data from the National Bank of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
At the beginning of the year, the number of branches of operating banks was 4,815 branches, and as of July 1, 4,754 branches.
The largest number of branches has been reduced since the beginning of the year in Oschadbank - 16 branches, Raiffeisen Bank - 10, PrivatBank - 8, Ukreximbank and TAScombank closed 5 branches each.
The most positive dynamics was shown by Accordbank, which opened 6 new branches in half a year, MTB Bank - 3 new branches, and ASVIO Bank - 2 new branches.
The leaders in the number of branches have not changed. As before, Oschadbank has the largest network - 1,115 branches. It is followed by PrivatBank with a network of 1,050 branches.
Raiffeisen Bank is in third place with 282 branches, and FUIB is in fourth place (220 branches).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the number of bank branches has decreased almost 3 times to 5,000 in 10 years (at the beginning of 2015 there were over 13,000).
In 2023, the number of bank branches decreased by 198 to 5,138 units.
In 2022, the number of bank branches decreased by 1,349 to 5,336 units.
In 2021, the number of bank branches decreased from 7,134 to 6,685.
In 2020, the number of bank branches decreased from 8,002 to 7,134.
In 2019, the number of bank branches decreased by 507 from 8,509 branches.
