Russian forces hit a Togolese-flagged civilian merchant ship while unloading mineral fertilizers.

This was announced by the Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction - Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba and the Ministry of Development, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The enemy attacked a Togo-flagged vessel in port, where the unloading of fertilizers continued. As a result of hitting the ship's superstructure, a fire broke out, three crew members were killed.

In addition, five more sailors were injured. All the victims were hospitalized, they are provided with the necessary medical assistance.

"This is another attack by russia on civilian shipping and port infrastructure of Ukraine. Such attacks threaten the safety of international shipping, the stability of global trade, and the world's food security," Kuleba emphasized.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, russian troops attacked the transport infrastructure of Odesa in the morning of July 13. As a result of the impact, a fire broke out on the territory of the motor transport enterprise, buses burned down, and three people were injured.
