Drones attack one of russia's largest gas processing plants: fire breaks out in Orenburg Oblast

A series of explosions were heard on the night of June 25 in the Orenburg Oblast of russia. The Orenburg gas processing plant, one of the largest enterprises of its type in the russian federation, could have been hit by drones.

According to the Exilenova+ Telegram channel, several fire centers were recorded on the territory of the enterprise after the attack. Satellite data also indicates the presence of several burning points in the industrial zone of the plant.

Local residents report at least three explosions in the area of ​​the enterprise. There is currently no official confirmation of the extent of the damage.

The Orenburg airport was temporarily suspended amid the attack. Restrictions on the arrival and departure of flights were also imposed in Orsk and Yasnoye.

The russian authorities announced a massive drone attack and traditionally placed responsibility on Ukraine. The governor of the region claims that several drones were allegedly shot down over one of the industrial facilities of the regional center.

According to official information, there were no casualties as a result of the attack. Emergency services are working at the scene.

The Orenburg gas processing plant is located approximately 1,500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. After the incident, local authorities also banned the publication of photos and videos related to the drone attacks and their consequences.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 18, Moscow experienced one of the largest drone attacks since the start of the full-scale war. Ukrainian drones hit the Moscow Refinery, which provides 40% of the russian capital's gasoline needs.

The attack sparked a massive fire that caused "oil rain" in the Moscow Oblast city of Balashikha. Residents posted photos of black, oily stains on cars, windows, and window sills.
