Ukraine developing its own ballistic missiles to strike russia - Fedorov
Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov confirmed that Ukraine is working on developing its own ballistic missile capable of striking targets on russian territory.
He made this statement in an interview with TSN television.
According to Fedorov, the emergence of Ukrainian ballistic missiles will be of strategic importance not only for the course of the war but also for Ukraine’s international standing.
“Ukrainian ballistic missiles will change everything in this war. They will fundamentally change Ukraine’s status in the world. We’ve changed it many times before, but this is in a completely different league,” the minister said.
At the same time, he declined to disclose any technical specifications or timelines for the project.
Fedorov explained this by his desire to avoid creating unrealistic expectations among the public and providing additional information to the enemy.
“I can only quote our president here: Ukrainian ballistic missiles will be developed, and they will strike Russia,” said the head of the Ministry of Defense.
The minister did not provide any other details regarding the new development.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 5, a Flamingo missile struck a factory in Cheboksary that manufactures navigation systems for Shahed and Iskander missiles.
