Trump says russia should make peace deal after meeting with Zelenskyy
US President Donald Trump said he had a "very good" meeting with the President of Ukraine, after which he stressed that the aggressor country russia should make a peace deal. Reuters reported this on Tuesday, June 16.
Trump said russia should make a peace deal with Ukraine. According to him, he himself will do everything possible to end the war after a "very good" meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and leaders of the Group of Seven at a summit in France.
"I will do everything I can. Too many young men are dying on the battlefield on both sides. Look, russia has to make a deal. I stopped eight wars. I thought this one would be the easiest to resolve," the US President said.
The French diplomat said that the G7 leaders agreed that the dynamics on the battlefield were now in Ukraine's favor and pledged to provide Ukraine with more air defense capabilities, Reuters reported.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 16, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the Group of Seven summit in France.
