United States warns Ukraine about threat of russians using Oreshnik missile - media
The United States of America warned Ukraine about the threat of the aggressor country of russia using the medium-range ballistic missile Oreshnik. The occupiers have launched this missile over Ukraine four times since the start of the full-scale invasion.
The RBC-Ukraine agency reported this with reference to its own sources on Friday, June 12.
An unnamed government source said that Ukraine had received preliminary information from the United States about the possible launch of the Oreshnik missile. The agency notes that official Washington has not published any official statements on this.
At the time of publication of the news, neither the Ukrainian Defense Forces nor the Ukrainian political leadership had confirmed or denied this information.
Earlier today, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published a message that within 24 hours there is a possibility of the russians using a medium-range ballistic missile.
"Within 24 hours, there is a high probability that the enemy will use a medium-range ballistic missile from the Kapustin Yar test site. Do not ignore air alert signals!" the message says.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 4, russian dictator vladimir putin confirmed that on the night of May 23-24, the russian army launched two Oreshnik missiles at Ukraine.
Recall, the first missile dropped submunitions over Bila Tserkva in the Kyiv Region. They fell on a garage cooperative, there were no casualties.
The second Oreshnik "fired back" for an unknown reason, probably over the occupied part of the Donetsk Region. The moment the submunitions fell was recorded by a surveillance camera installed in Donetsk.
