Occupiers tighten restrictions on sale of gasoline to population in Crimea, it is no longer possible to fill up cans
The Crimean occupation administration has announced even stricter restrictions on gasoline sales to the public. Starting today, May 31, 95-octane gasoline will be sold primarily to special-purpose vehicles; for everyone else, it will be available only with ration coupons.
Sergey Aksyonov, the head of the peninsula’s occupation administration appointed by the aggressor country, has announced this.
According to him, starting May 31, the distribution of 95-octane gasoline “will be carried out on a priority basis” for municipal and social transport. Other drivers will be able to obtain this gasoline only with ration cards, but allegedly without volume restrictions. At the same time, at ATAN and TES gas stations, 95-octane gasoline will be sold only with ration cards.
The situation regarding the availability of 92-octane gasoline has also worsened on the peninsula. Due to “limited supplies,” a ban is being imposed on dispensing more than 20 liters per vehicle. Filling canisters with this grade of gasoline is also prohibited.
Aksyonov urged people to “remain calm” and wait for the “current situation” to normalize, which is expected within 30 days.
As the Ukrainian News agency previously reported, earlier this week, Z-channels complained that the logistics situation in the occupied territories is nearing a critical point. If nothing changes, two russian army groups risk being left without supplies.
As a reminder, on May 22, collaborator Volodymyr Saldo, whom the russians appointed to head the occupation administration of the Kherson Region, signed a “decree” restricting the movement of freight transport along the so-called “land corridor” to Crimea due to massive UAV strikes on trucks and fuel tankers.
