Russian cities of Taganrog and Armavir attacked by drones: fire on tanker reported - local authorities

On the night of May 29–30, the russian city of Taganrog in the Rostov Oblast came under attack by drones. Reports circulated online of explosions and a possible fire in the port area.

It was reported by Telegram channels and local residents.

According to monitoring sources, explosions were heard in various parts of the city, particularly near Taganrog Bay, the port, and the aircraft factory.

Information also appeared online about a possible fire in the port area. Specifically, there were reports of a tanker, a fuel tank, and an administrative building catching fire.

Later, Rostov Oblast Governor Yury Slyusar stated that two people were injured as a result of a drone attack on Taganrog. According to him, the drone struck a private home, and the victims are receiving medical care.

Slyusar also reported that UAVs were allegedly shot down overnight in Taganrog, as well as in the Chertkovsky, Matveyevo-Kurgan, and Neklinovsky Districts of the Rostov Oblast.

In addition, russians complained that the city of Armavir in the Krasnodar Krai was also targeted by unknown drones.

OSINT sources reported that the Southern Oil Company’s oil depot was allegedly attacked.

It is also worth noting that loud explosions were heard overnight in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea. It is believed that an oil depot in Feodosia was attacked. But whether this is actually the case is difficult to say at this point.
