Enemy massively attacks Sumy Region with drones: hits to residential buildings and administrative facilities - local authorities
On the night of May 30, russian forces launched a massive attack using strike drones on the territory of the Shostka community in the Sumy Region. The shelling resulted in damage to civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, and vehicles.
Oleh Hryhorov, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, has reported this.
According to him, air defense forces managed to destroy some of the enemy drones. However, some drones struck civilian targets.
As a result of the attack, residential and non-residential buildings, administrative facilities, and vehicles were damaged. Since last night, emergency and rescue services have been working on the ground to address the aftermath of the strike.
An assessment of the affected areas is currently underway to determine the extent of the damage. Residents of the community are receiving the necessary assistance.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of May 30, drones attacked port and fuel infrastructure facilities in the Rostov Oblast of the russian federation. The port of Taganrog was hit, where a tanker, a fuel tank, and an administrative building caught fire following a series of explosions.
