Mariana Bezuhla, a member of parliament from the Servant of the People party, said that during a closed-door meeting with President Zelenskyy, she raised the issue of the resignation of Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine—and received a response that did not please her. She wrote about this on her Facebook page.

According to Bezuhla, she was the only participant who asked the President about the war. The MP, she said, directly asked the president about military reform and Syrskyi’s dismissal, raised the issue of the conflict between the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, and the Commander-in-Chief, as well as the russian advance on Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad.

"The President was nervous, after which he took several other questions from colleagues and didn’t answer me at all. He answered everyone else," she said.

Bezuhla said that after the meeting, she approached the president herself. In a private conversation in the presence of several MPs, Zelenskyy, according to her, did answer the question regarding the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"He spoke about our constant striving for peace, about the conflict between the Ministry of Defense and the military leadership, about replacing Syrskyi, and whether there is anyone to replace him with. <…> The answer was quite detailed and logical, but not very encouraging," the MP concluded.

Earlier, Mariana Bezuhla reported that dozens of MPs in the Rada want to terminate their terms early.
