Armed Forces of Ukraine confirm launch of only one Oreshnik missile - Ihnat
The Ukrainian Air Forces confirm that the russian occupation forces launched only one "Oreshnik" medium-range ballistic missile, which struck Bila Tserkva in the Kyiv Region on the night of May 23–24.
Yurii Ihnat, head of the Communications Department of the Ukrainian Air Forces, stated this in a comment to Channel 24.
According to him, only the launch of one missile has been confirmed so far. There is currently no information regarding the launch of a second "Oreshnik."
Ihnat added that an official statement will be released if the launch of the second missile is confirmed.
Following a massive airstrike on the night of May 24, several monitoring channels reported that the russians had allegedly launched two "Oreshnik" missiles.
Later, a video was posted online, allegedly filmed in the occupied part of the Donetsk Region. It shows the fall of simulated warheads. This was observed in Bila Tserkva during the attack, as well as in Dnipro (in November 2024) and in Lviv (in January 2026), when they were struck with "Oreshnik" missiles.
The OSINT project CyberBoroshno confirmed that the video was filmed by a camera installed in the eastern part of occupied Donetsk. The camera was pointed north-northwest. Within its field of view are Avdiivka, Yasynuvata, Kramatorsk, Izium, Vovchansk, and the russian city of Belgorod.
As a reminder, "Oreshnik," whose launch has been confirmed by the military, dropped simulated warheads over Bila Tserkva. They struck a garage cooperative; there were no casualties.
