Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that the war with russia has reached a critical turning point. According to him, moscow is gradually losing one of its main advantages—its numerical superiority in manpower.

The Minister wrote about this on social media platform X after participating in an informal meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council, which took place in Helsingborg, Sweden, with the participation of foreign ministers from Alliance countries.

Sybiha emphasized that Ukraine continues to hold its ground, while international pressure on the kremlin is only intensifying. In his view, achieving peace requires simultaneous efforts in three areas: diplomacy, increasing pressure, and strengthening military capabilities.

The Minister also called on partners to intensify sanctions pressure on russia and to use additional mechanisms of influence to bring peace closer.

Separately, the Foreign Minister informed allies about the growing threats from Belarus. He called on NATO to deter potential actions by moscow and Minsk and prevent further escalation.

According to Sybiha, Ukraine today acts not only as a state in need of support but also as a security partner ready to share its own experience with allies.

The Minister also noted that NATO has grown stronger over the past year and called the decision to increase defense spending to 5% of GDP a historic step.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the US Institute for the Study of War (ISW) wrote that in recent months, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have achieved their most significant successes on the front lines since the operation in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation.
