Kremlin announces "pause" in Ukraine peace process
The Kremlin says that the process of peaceful settlement of the war in Ukraine has been completely suspended. This was reported by russian president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov, russian media reported.
According to the Kremlin spokesman, the russian side notes the lack of any progress in this direction. Peskov noted that the peace process is currently on pause.
"The peace process regarding Ukraine is on pause, russia is counting on its resumption," he noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 15, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on the plans of the aggressor country of russia for operations against Ukraine or NATO countries. It was also reported that the Kremlin announced that it would refuse to continue the trilateral talks until Ukraine withdraws from Donbas.
On April 20, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the arrival of American representatives Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff to Ukraine should not be made a special sensation, since the Ukrainian side is constantly in touch with them and awaits the results of the negotiations.
And on May 2, Kyiv Independent, citing informed sources, reported that the US President's special envoys Witkoff and Kushner had refused to travel to Kyiv, which was planned for April.
